Week 4 in Odyssey Elementary is already in full swing!

Today elementary scholars participated in the Summer Mayor’s Reading Club Literacy Fair! The Westminster Schools Philanthropy 101 class creates an entire day of literacy fun that carries the common themes from this summer’s book selections (see below). Scholars went on a treasure hunt, read books to therapy dogs, and made dirt and worms edible desserts! We invite you to check out more Atlanta-area Summer Mayor’s Reading Club events happening throughout the summer.

Final Day for Odyssey Elementary:

This summer is flying by. We know you’re eager to see what your scholar has been working on. Please plan to join us for Odyssey’s final day, July 13th for an open house and end-of-summer bonanza. Join us in Love Hall’s Hamilton Room (aka the lunchroom). We strongly recommend parking in Love Hall’s Carpool B (the opposite side of morning carpool). The event will be full with standing room only likely. Please plan to arrive with enough time to park and find seating.
Scholars will showcase their work and perform dances and songs. Parents and guardians hoping to attend this event should arrive by 9:15AM to tour classrooms and expect the program to last until 10:30AM. Parents with older scholars should still be able to catch the middle school end-of-summer show which will begin after elementary’s has ended. Scholars are welcome to leave with their parents at the close of this event. Lunch is not served this day. To find out more, please email Ann Tedesco at anntedesco@westminster.net
