GA 9to5 is offering The Power of Participation leadership series.

The Power of Participation leadership series is designed to energize women to reclaim their power by motivating, informing, engaging and building long-term resolve in their communities whose voices are suppressed through political tactics. Building leadership with local women is the catalyst for communities to shift the political landscape by changing voter behavior. The solution: numbers plus participation equals power. Not participating is to surrender to the current power structure.
Workshop Sessions:
- “They Don’t Want You to Vote!”: Exploring voting rights in America from 1789-2017.
- Voting Makes Cents, Does Your Vote Count?!?: What happens when you vote or you do not vote?
- Breaking through Barriers: Understanding, Preventing, and Overcoming voter suppression.
- Power of Participation: Building more power in our communities through participation at the local level.
Sessions 1 and 2: Saturday, Feb 17th and Lunch will be provided.
Sessions 3 and 4: Saturday, Feb 24th and Lunch will be provided.
