Odyssey Bus Policy

Until the yellow school bus arrives at the designated time in the morning and after the yellow school bus arrives at the designated time in the afternoon, the safety of your child is your responsibility. Odyssey cannot accept responsibility for students who “miss the bus” in the morning or whose parents are not there to meet them in the afternoon. If the bus drivers are delayed because they must wait for a parent to arrive, this delays all other stops on the route and inconveniences other parents. Make it a habit to arrive at your stop TEN (10) minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive.
If guardians are not there to drop off (mornings) or meet (afternoons) your student, your child may not be able to continue utilizing Odyssey’s complimentary transportation. The bus company will report on guardians who are chronically late. If your child is not picked up on time more than once, Odyssey holds the right to ask the family to find alternative transportation means. Odyssey’s transportation is a service provided through generous donations from our sponsors. Scholars are expected to treat drivers, staff, and peers with respect. As all scholars are aware, Odyssey has a zero-tolerance bullying policy. This extends to bus rides. If a scholar exhibits any inappropriate behavior, repercussions may include the inability to utilize Odyssey’s complimentary transportation or removal from the program.
