Dear Odyssey Families,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of Week 4 of our Odyssey Summer. Your children have worked hard and collaborated as a team focusing on academics, experiential learning, and character and leadership development. We are really proud of our students and their willingness to try new things with new friends.

This week we had several field trips including The Botanical Gardens, Young Chef’s Academy, and The King Center and tour of Martin Luther King’s childhood home. On Friday, Jerome Bettis, former NFL player and Pro Football Hall of Fame member, will talk to our fourth and fifth students about the importance of education and service to one’s community.

On Friday afternoon, we will have our Second Annual Talent Show. This is an informal celebration for the kids, and many of the performances will be included in our Closing Program. While we have not formally invited parents, you are welcome to attend if this is important to your child. We will begin at 1:00 in The Hamilton Room.

Next Wednesday is a school holiday as we all celebrate July 4th. Looking ahead, we do hope that all families will join us for our final day celebration beginning with classroom visits at 8:15, photo journey at 9:00, and Student Celebration in The Hamilton Room at 9:15. Our program should run about an hour, and you are welcome to collect all school art and class items and take your child home. We will have buses operating in the morning and leaving Westminster at 12:30.

Have a safe and happy weekend!
